A beautiful beveled glass case with bronze fittings, handle, and hinged lid, the glass etched with floral motifs. The case contains a porte montre in gilt bronze, supported by two putti holding a medallion-shaped shield. Condition: Overall good, small chip on one corner of the glass lid. Minor wear, scratches, etc., consistent with age and use. This lot will be carefully packaged and shipped by registered and insured mail.

A mother-of-pearl egg mounted on a bronze foot sits on a round marble base, used as a sewing set during the time of King Napoleon III. Two sewing tools are included: a silver thimble and a sewing bradawl. The egg opens and closes with a small hinge and is in perfect working condition.

Beneath the three lids are three zinc containers, which can be used to hold soil and plants. The table is richly decorated all around with gilded railings, garlands, ornaments, and painted panels.
